Branches of Chemical Engineering

Another well known career in math is engineering. Engineering is a profession where engineers create or design things for their boss or contractor. What you design depends on what you want to or what you are good at. There are multiple types of engineering such as electrical, civil, mechanical, or chemical engineering. There are also different branches off of these four branches. An example of a chemical engineer is a processing engineer who makes processes more efficient. They calculate how many chemicals to put into a mixture to maximize the amount of the chemical that they want to get. They also calculate how many chemicals go into things like our water. If they put to much fluorine or chlorine into our water it could be harmful to us. Also, if they put to little chemicals into the water it could be harmful. Another example of a chemical engineer is a molecular engineer. Molecular engineering uses science to design molecules to help out humans. It is an important part in pharmaceutical research, which designs medicines to help sick people out. Another branch is bio-molecular engineering which is much like molecular engineering. In bio-molecular engineering, the engineers create and manipulate carbohydrates, proteins, nucleic acids, and other natural compounds.
